Bakshi Transport Service Pvt. Ltd. ("Bakshi Transport", "we", "us" or "our") operates the website bakshitransports.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or book a vehicle with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you send an enquiry, request a quote or make a booking, we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, pick-up location, travel dates and times, the vehicle you are interested in, and anything you write in the message box. If you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email, we keep a record of that conversation.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server records the IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. Our enquiry forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and behaviour signals to tell people apart from bots. That data is handled under Google's own privacy policy.

Payment information. We do not store card or bank details on this website. Payments are taken through bank transfer, UPI or a payment gateway, and any card details you enter go directly to that provider.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
  • To confirm, manage and deliver your booking, including sharing the pick-up details with the assigned driver.
  • To send booking confirmations, itinerary changes and invoices.
  • To keep records required under Indian tax, transport and company law.
  • To improve our website and services, using aggregated usage data.
  • To send occasional offers or updates, only where you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to serve you:

  • Drivers and travel partners who need your name, phone number and pick-up details to complete a booking.
  • Hotels, airlines or tour operators when you book a package that includes their services.
  • Service providers who host our website, send our emails or process payments, under agreements that limit what they can do with the data.
  • Government or law enforcement agencies where the law requires it, for example under the Motor Vehicles Act or on a valid legal request.

4. Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Session cookies keep the site working while you browse. Google reCAPTCHA sets cookies to run its bot check. If we add analytics tools, they may set cookies to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.

5. How long we keep your information

Enquiry details are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up and refer back to earlier conversations. Booking and invoice records are kept for the period required under Indian tax and company law, currently eight years. Data we no longer need is deleted or anonymised.

6. How we protect your information

Our website runs over HTTPS. Access to enquiry and booking records is limited to staff who need it, and our admin systems are password protected. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to guard your data.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it where we no longer need it for a booking or a legal record. You can also withdraw consent to marketing messages at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Bookings for minors must be made by a parent or guardian.

9. Links to other websites

Our site may link to social media pages and third party websites. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, and we recommend reading their privacy policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
